The Thorens TAS 257 cartridge is a high-quality moving-magnet pick-up suitable for all MM phono inputs. TAS 257 is the little brother of TAS 267, it creates subtle spaciousness and a very mature sound. The tip has an elliptical shape and can be mounted on almost any tonearm.
Overview
Cartridge Thorens TAS 257 will easily provide the work of any inexpensive players, including past generations. The same cartridge has been included with turntables for decades and is sold separately under various brands. In the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s most turntables and changers had heavier arms than are common today. This means that the older your turntable, the more likely it is to have a heavier tonearm, unless you have some sort of high-end device. Thus, this is an entry-level cartridge with an excellent value for money for most new and old turntables.
