Reference Sound, Reimagined
The DLS Reference RC6.28 carries the heritage of the RC6.2Q into a new generation. Reference Classic stays true to the DLS Natural Sound philosophy, combining warmth, clarity and detail with modern materials and carefully developed engineering.

A Stable Foundation
The 6.5″ woofer is built around the Full Basket System, where the die-cast aluminium basket surrounds and integrates the magnet structure. This creates a rigid and stable platform that helps reduce unwanted resonance and gives the moving parts better control.

A hybrid ferrite and neodymium motor, together with a copper shorting ring, improves efficiency, dynamics and linearity while keeping distortion low. The coated wood-fibre cone and lightweight Santoprene suspension give bass and midrange a fast, natural character with good control.

Detail Without Harshness
The RC28C tweeter uses a 28 mm double-treated silk dome with internal damping for an open, detailed and smooth presentation. Its neodymium motor, copper shorting ring and CNC-machined aluminium rear chamber provide controlled behaviour well into the lower treble, helping voices and instruments retain their natural character without becoming sharp or tiring.

Carefully Balanced
Separate crossover networks with selected capacitors, resistors and air-core coils bring woofer and tweeter together with precision. The result is a balanced and coherent component system with natural imaging, controlled dynamics and the familiar musical character of DLS Reference.
