The iLX-705DM is an alternative version of the iLX-705D.

In this version, the 1DIN media box is attached to the upper side of the 7-inch screen and allows installation in vehicles with space restrictions in the radio dock, such as the Seat Leon.

It features a high-resolution screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, 2 USB ports, as well as a built-in Class-D amplifier and Hi-Res Audio capabilities.

Next-generation 2DIN digital media player
The iLX-705DM is the official successor to the hugely popular iLX-702D digital media player. We've further improved the product with a host of new features, more compatibility, an HD display and, for the world's first time, a Class D amplifier in a player.

7-inch HD WXGA display
The iLX-705DM has the best 7-inch display we've ever put in a 2DIN unit. The 7-inch HD touchscreen features 1280 x 720p (WXGA) resolution, with stunningly vivid colors and contrast, making icons, menus and visual content on your dashboard even more vivid. Especially when displaying small text on navigation maps or the like, you'll love this high-resolution display.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
The iLX-705DM works with Apple CarPlay wirelessly, allowing iPhone users to make and receive calls, access and write text messages, play music, and get navigation directions so they can stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay is controlled via the touchscreen or the microphone button with Siri voice control. Thanks to WiFi connectivity, you can keep your iPhone in your pocket and avoid having to constantly connect it with a cable (except for charging).

2x USB ports
Although the iLX-705DM is mechanical (no built-in CD/DVD drive), you still have plenty of entertainment options. The 2 USB ports on the back of the unit allow you to, for example, connect one mobile device for charging, while using the other USB port to connect a USB flash drive or hard drive to access your audio and video files.

Android Auto compatibility
Android Auto allows you to use hundreds of useful smartphone apps with your Alpine system (wired). There are many popular navigation apps such as Google Maps, Sygic, Waze, Magic Earth to name a few. Enjoy streaming music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Deezer and more and stay connected with WhatsApp and other popular messaging apps – right from your Alpine device screen.

The world's first player with a built-in Class D amplifier
The iLX-705DM, along with the new Alpine Halo11 and Halo9, are the world's first aftermarket players to feature a built-in 4x 50-watt Class D amplifier, allowing for excellent reproduction of high-end sound with greatly reduced noise or phase shift. The main advantage of Class D amplification technology is its high efficiency - around 90%, compared to 50-70% for Class AB amplifiers. New high-speed fans with internal coolers keep your Alpine player at the right temperature - and the music plays.

Enjoy great sound quality
With a 56-band parametric equalizer in advanced mode, a 2-band digital crossover, 6-channel digital time correction and several Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander sound tuning options, you have great tools to tune your iLX-705DM and the amplifier/speaker system connected to it to perfection. But we didn't stop there: the iLX-705DM is Hi-Res Audio certified and can decode and play back up to 96 kHz/1,536 kbps Hi-Res audio files from USB sources in uncompressed formats such as FLAC, WAV and APE.

Extensive entertainment options
The all-new DAB/Radio tuner lets you switch between DAB and FM for seamless radio reception without interruption. With a wider range of supported USB video formats (MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV), the iLX-705DM has plenty of additional entertainment options: the integrated Bluetooth module lets you stream audio from your phone, and the HDMI input lets you connect an external video playback device.

Car Data-bus connector
If your car has parking sensors, you can continue to enjoy these convenient features with your iLX-705DM. Alpine offers a range of vehicle data bus interfaces to connect your Alpine player to your vehicle's data bus system. This enables compatibility with your car's steering wheel controls, air conditioning settings display and parking sensor display.

Video cameras for driver assistance
A rear view camera is a great way to make reversing safer. The camera view automatically switches on when you shift into reverse, and distance guides, which can be adjusted to suit your vehicle's size, will appear on the screen to help you park safely. Alpine offers a wide range of front and rear cameras, including multi-view cameras with selectable viewing angles. You can even view the camera and parking sensor screen simultaneously, if your vehicle supports it.

External control knob
The separately purchased RUE-BK01 control knob is designed for use with the 2022 Halo series devices, but it also works with the iLX-705DM (requires separate installation in the car's center console or dashboard) . Turning the knob will adjust the volume, and pressing it will activate the rear view camera on the screen.

Note: This control knob does not work if wireless Apple CarPlay is enabled.

Bluetooth Hi-Res Audio Streaming
Wireless Bluetooth connection to your smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled digital audio player is also possible, thanks to the built-in high-end LDAC standards. With LDAC, you can stream your audio content, including high-resolution (Hi-Res) audio, at a maximum bit rate of 990 kbps via Bluetooth. This makes this Alpine Head Unit ideal for hi-res audio and streaming services with high sound quality. The transmission bit rate is constantly adjusted with this technology to ensure a stable connection even in harsh environments, depending on the network conditions.
